Wave above Wattisham

25th June 2011The days may now be getting shorter, but the gliding keeps getting better! Congratulations go out to Gwyn for his 500km flight from Wattisham last week. Not content with that, he and Lee Davisdon took a tow to 3000ft on Saturday to play around in some wave lift that had formed over the airfield, reaching a height of 6500ft.

Conditions were tricky on Sunday but that didn't stop Alison Eke and Carl Thomas re-soloing - congratulations!

Flying Logs Back Online

The club website has taken another step to being fully operational again with the return of online logsheet viewing. It's back, and it's even better than before! After logging-in, click on the "View My Profile" link in the Members Menu, then select the "Flight Log" tab. Please report any problems to This email address is being protected from spambots. Back online!

Whilst we were busy having lots of fun gliding over the sunny Easter weekend (including three re-solos and some cross-country flying), the technology powering the club's website was imploding. With only a partial backup and Google cache to work with, reconstruction has not been easy. Most of the public content is now back on-line, as is the event system for organising flying activities. Other areas will return bit-by-bit over the coming days.

Now for the important bit: all user accounts were trashed along with the rest of the site database, so all members will need to re-register in order to log in to the site. This will be a completely fresh account so you can either pick the same username/email address as before or use a different one.
